Red Hot, New FUSE Nightclub is Already Winning Awards
Gaylord Opryland Resort's edgy addition takes the prize for dance club, drinks, architecture and more.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 30, 2008) – After being open just a month and a half, Fuse is creating a national buzz and already also earning awards. First, there was the celebrity bash recently hosted by Kid Rock and Kim Kardashian that was and is still being covered in national magazines, broadcasts and talked about on blogs. Now Fuse, an unexpectedly edgy addition at the South’s landmark Gaylord Opryland Resort, is in the spotlight for winning awards from the readers of Tennessee’s largest newspaper in six categories and another for design from a lifestyle magazine.

First, for spaces that included “beauty, intelligence and wit,” Nashville Lifestyles magazine chose Fuse as one of its Top Ten Design Spaces for 2008. The editors of the magazine said, “Nashville’s had nightclubs before, and as we grow, surely new ones await us in the future, but right now, no nightspot is as hot as the vermillion-hued Fuse in the Opryland Hotel. Designer Jeffrey Beers has flawlessly transported a little 21st century Las Vegas luxe to one of the city’s established landmarks.”

This week, the Tennessean announced the results of its readers’ choice poll, the Toast of Music City. Voters picked Fuse as number one in three categories:

Fuse: Best Dance Club
Fuse: Most Creative Cocktails
Fuse: Best DJ- DJ Tyrus

Voters also named Fuse as among the top three in the following categories:

Fuse: Best Place to Take a First Date (2nd)
Fuse: Best Place to Spot Celebrities (3rd)
Fuse: Best Server/Liz Buerlson (2nd)

About Fuse server Liz Buerlson, one voter who was quoted in the newspaper wrote, “Liz is the kind of server you will remember in every way. She is dedicated, smart, efficient, knows her stuff and is fun..plus beautiful. Fuse is lucky to have her,” The Tennessean.

Designed by international nightclub architect Jeffrey Beers to be a red-and-black “oasis of sensuality,” the 14,000 sq. ft. Fuse includes reactive imagery, go-go dancers, a misting vodka locker featuring more than five dozen top-shelf brands and “experience cocktails,” restrooms with see-through panels and VIP coves with concierge service.
