Michael I. Roth
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Interpublic Group

Michael I. Roth is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of
The Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), one of the world’s leading organizations of advertising agencies and marketing services companies. Roth was named chief executive officer of the Interpublic Group in January 2005, adding to his chairmanship responsibilities. Prior to becoming chairman, in July 2004, Roth had been a member of Interpublic’s Board since 2002.

Prior to the sale of the MONY Group to AXA Financial Services in July 2004, Roth served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the MONY Group since 1997. During his 15-year tenure at MONY, Roth also served as president and chief operating officer, as well as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Trained as a lawyer and certified public accountant, Roth has also been executive vice president and chief financial officer of Primerica Corporation and a Partner at Coopers & Lybrand.

Roth also serves as director of office technology provider for Pitney Bowes, Inc. and the Gaylord Entertainment Company.

A certified public accountant, Roth holds a Master of Laws degree from New York University Law School and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Boston University Law School. He is a 1967 graduate of the City College of New York.
