Gara Pryor
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Gara Pryor is senior vice president of human resources for Gaylord Entertainment, leading the Company’s human resources division.

Pryor joined the company in 2004 as vice president of rewards systems. She was promoted in 2007 to vice president of compensation, benefits and HRIS. In this position Pryor led the implementation of the Shining STARS bonus program, gained responsibility for the stock services function and worked to evaluate all company heath and welfare programs. In addition, she led the centralization of the HRIS function and the HRIS team through the design of On Demand HR reporting. Pryor also led the initiative to standardize roles, structures and job descriptions at each of the Gaylord properties.

Before joining Gaylord Entertainment, Pryor worked for five years as senior director of compensation, HRIS and stock services with Dollar General. She has worked in the human resources field for more than 18 years.

Pryor graduated in 1992 from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development.
